7 Steps To A Clean Apartment Sliding Glass Door

  1. Notify your neighbours that may live below you that you will be cleaning your apartments sliding glass door. Soapy runoff may drip down the side of the building.
  2. Wet the entire surface with a rag drenched in soap and water. This will help loosen stuck-on dirt deposits. Be sure and do one side at a time.
  3. Wipe off the soap solution with paper towels or a clean cloth after it has been on the glass for several minutes.
  4. Apply a mild window washing solution. Be sure and use a non-abrasive applicator, like a sponge or microfiber cloth. When you are applying the solution start at the top and work your way down.
  5. Remove the cleaning solution using a squeegee immediately after the entire sliding glass door has been covered with the solution. Don’t let the solution dry onto the glass, and be sure and continue working from top to bottom.
  6. Dry any items around the sliding glass door that got wet, however do not dry the sliding glass door itself. The door should already be relatively dry from the squeegee and any remaining liquid should be left to air-dry.
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 on the other side of the sliding glass door.
